Arts & Business Scotland chief executive Barclay Price is retiring at the end of March next year.
Mr Price has been in the role since 2001 having previously held the role of deputy director of the Scottish Arts Council.
He said: "After more than 11 years as chief executive of this great organisation, and having overseen the demerger that established Arts & Business Scotland as an independent Scottish charity, I believe that now is the right time to step down and allow a new leader to take the organisation forward."
