Cairn MD Brown to be ICAS president

ONE of Scotland's leading female executives, Jann Brown, managing director of Cairn Energy, is in line to become president of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland.

Ms Brown, who is also finance director of the Edinburgh-based oil explorer, has been elected as junior vice-president of ICAS.

She will succeed current vice-presidents Sir David Tweedie, former chairman of the International Accounting Standards Board, and Brendan Nelson, a non-executive director of Royal Bank of Scotland, to become ICAS president in April 2014.
