EDINBURGH Airport chief executive Gordon Dewar and Ronnie Wayte, from funeral plan provider Golden Charter, have won the top prizes at the Institute of Directors Scotland awards.

Mr Dewar was named director of the year for businesses with more than £35 million turnover and Mr Wayte received the award for companies with less than £35m revenue.

Other winners included Jo Macsween from haggis maker Macsween, Parkmead Group's Ryan Strougler and lawyer Magnus Swanson.
