THE young entrepreneur who spurned a £75,000 funding offer from television's Dragons Den for his personal shopper app has been offered millions more since the show was broadcast last month.

Cally Russell, 27, has had tens of approaches from potential investors who want to take a stake in the Mallzee business he founded in 2013. The app developed by Mallzee allows people to build online Style Feeds highlighting the kind of fashions they like with a swipe of a finger on their mobile phones.

A spokeswoman for Mallzee said of the approaches : "It ranges from companies and individuals offering several million pounds to people wanting to offer a couple of hundred to be part of something exciting."

In February Mr Russell said he felt TV dragon Peter Jones' offer of £75,000 for a 20 per cent stake in Mallzee seriously undervalued a business.

However, yesterday he appeared open to the idea of taking investment from a backer that could help accelerate Mallzee's global growth.

He said: "We are currently following upon all the investment offers to ensure that we pick the best investment and the right people to help make Mallzee a truly global company."

Some 80,000 new users have built style feeds with Mallzee since last month's broadcast.

The day after his appearance on Dragons Den Mr Russell said the total number of registered users was well into six figures.
