Gloag takes up Spark role

STAGECOACH co-founder Ann Gloag is taking up the role of entrepreneur-in-chief at Entrepreneurial Spark's new Edinburgh facility.

She follows in the footsteps of Sir Willie Haughey and Sir Tom Hunter who have the same position at the business incubator's hubs in Glasgow and Ayrshire.

Ms Gloag will be on hand to offer advice to start-up businesses which will base themselves in the Scottish capital. She said: "In these challenging economic times, it is important we encourage would-be entrepreneurs."
