HBJ Gateley confirms appointments

LAW firm HBJ Gateley has promoted mergers and acquisitions specialist Murray Jack to partner, writes Ian McConnell.

Mr Jack, who is based in the firm's Glasgow office and leads the corporate team there, joined the firm in April as a senior associate from McGrigors, now part of Pinsent Masons.

HBJ Gateley said Mr Jack had expertise in private equity and venture capital-led mergers and acquisitions among high-growth technology companies, start-ups, and spin-outs.

Banking expert Euan Cluness has also joined HBJ Gateley as a senior associate in Edinburgh from law firm DLA Piper.
