Highest accountancy exam marks

A SCOTTISH scholar has achieved the highest marks in the world in the latest Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) exams.

Laura Cameron, who lives in Glasgow and is currently working on the finance graduate scheme at BSkyB, received a score of 82% in her enterprise strategy test.

That put the 27-year-old ahead of the 5000 other students who were also sitting the paper.

She said: "The exams were really tough and hard work but I had a lot of support from both the fantastic tutors at BPP in Glasgow and also from my employer, BSkyB."

Ms Cameron, who is originally from Dunblane, studied accounting and finance at Strathclyde University.
