FORMER Sainsbury's chief executive Justin King is believed to have taken an advisory role at privately held supermarket supplier 2 Sisters.

2 Sisters has its headquarters in Birmingham but locations around the UK including Cambuslang, Aberdeen and Coupar Angus in Scotland.

It supplies products ranging from pizzas and biscuits to fresh fish, poultry and meat.

The company, founded in 1993 by Ranjit Singh Boparan, employs around 23,000 people and is said to have revenue of around £3.4 billion.

Mr King is believed to be advising Mr Boparan.
