Among the hires is Margaret Laidlaw who was RSM Tenon's regional managing director for Scotland.
The other new recruits at Mazars are Laura Clarkson, Brian Hay-Smith, Keith Marshall, Fiona Martin, John McLeod, Liz Ritchie and Kevin Windram.
Ms Laidlaw said: "We're extremely happy we've made the decision to move and look forward to playing our part in the future development of the firm in Scotland and the UK."
RSM Tenon was bought by mid-market rival Baker Tilly in a pre-pack administration deal in August this year.
Peter Jibson, Scottish managing partner at Mazars, said the firm is considering further hires and said: "We are committed to growth in Scotland and the addition of such a quality senior team to our Edinburgh office is a significant step both in achieving this objective and in creating a stronger platform from which we can continue to build.
"This not only creates greater critical mass but also enhances our service offering to both business and private clients and we anticipate being very active in the recruitment market in adding staff to serve the new clients we will attract."
