Petroleum boss picks up award

PETROLEUM Experts founder Hamid Guedroudj has been named EY Scotland entrepreneur of the year.

Mr Guedroudj started the engineering technology business back in 1990 and the firm posted pre-tax profits of more than £29 million in its most recent financial year.

Its products have been used in 200 oil fields and it has a global client base.

Jim Bishop, Scotland senior partner at EY, said: "Petroleum Experts has enjoyed staggering growth, becoming a global industry leader along the way, and is in an incredibly strong position."
