Roger to step down from Centrica Energy Upstream

CENTRICA said Jonathan Roger will step down as head of its upstream oil and gas arm, which has big interests in the North Sea, at the end of June.

Mr Roger has been managing director of Centrica Energy Upstream since it was formed in January 2010 following the acquisition of Venture Production, where he worked, for £1.3bn.

Mr Roger will be succeeded by Sarwjit Sambhi, who oversees development and delivery across Centrica's exploration and production and power projects.
