Soames after Cockburn for Serco board

SERCO chief executive Rupert Soames is reported to be keen to reunite with former Aggreko colleague Angus Cockburn.

Mr Cockburn worked with Mr Soames as finance director of the Glasgow-based temporary power supplier for more than a decade.

Now he is its interim chief executive but has yet to declare publicly whether or not he would like the job on a permanent basis.

The company is on record as saying it is looking at internal and external candidates.

Now it has emerged Mr Soames wants Mr Cockburn on board as he attempts to rebuild Serco's reputation.
