STV chief executive Rob Woodward has taken on the part-time position of non-executive director of outsourcing firm Regnersis.

Mr Woodward replaces Kevin Bradshaw who stepped down last month after becoming chief executive of Garden Centre Group.

Regenersis, which acquired a Renfrewshire-based mobile phone repair business in 2009, highlighted Mr Woodward's "significant experience in the technology, media and telecommunications industry", with broadcasters STV and Channel 4, investment bank UBS and accountant Deloitte.

Regenersis executive chairman Matthew Peacock said: "I would like to welcome Rob Woodward to the board and look forward to working with him as we continue the international development of the business.

He will also sit on the nominations, audit and remuneration committees.

Regenersis did not disclose how much it will pay Mr Woodward. Other non-executive directors at the group receive between £35,000 and £40,000. Regenersis bought Inchinnan mobile phone repair company Total Repair Solutions from entrepreneur Richard Emanuel for £6.25 million four years ago.

Oxford-based Regenersis also has a large laptop computer and set-top box repair operation in Glenrothes, Fife.
