Taqa officer picks up award

TAQA Bratani's chief financial officer has been named corporate finance director of the year.

Aberdeen-based Peter Thomas impressed judges at the Scottish Finance Director of the Year awards, run by Insider magazine, with his deal making ability.

Will Gold, of Premier Hytemp, scooped the emerging finance category accolade, partly for the role he played in the management buyout of the engineering firm from Murray International Holdings.

In the not-for-profit section, Alex McPhee from East Ayrshire Council was the winner.
