Wishart returns to Tods Murray
TODS Murray has appointed Iain Wishart as head of its real estate finance team.
Mr Wishart, who joins as a partner and replaces the outgoing Roddy MacLennan, returns to the law firm from Barclays Bank, where he was vice president, legal.
Mr Wishart qualified and practised with Tods Murray before moving to Clifford Chance in London, where he worked in its finance and capital markets division.
He joins the banking and finance department at Tods Murray, which recently reported a 28% increase in first-half revenue and secured a number of significant new client wins. Recruits are being sought as a result of the department's increased workflow.
Mr Wishart specialises in leveraged transactions, real estate finance and syndicated lending. He maintains a practice in securitisation and other financing techniques.
