New partners for Cuushman & Wakefield

PROPERTY agent Cushman & Wakefield has appointed two new partners in Scotland.

Isla Monteith has been promoted to partner for retail services, while and Stephen Bibby has been elevated to the same level for the firm's retail capital markets operation.

Isla joined Cushman & Wakefield ten years ago, and represents major clients such as Nando's, Costa, Redevco, TH Real Estate, New River, Legal & General and EE.

Mr Bibby, who joined Cushman & Wakefield in 2005, has established himself as one of the business's most active dealmakers. Recent deals he has worked on include the purchases of Fife Leisure Park in Dunfermline and Gallagher Retail Park in Dundee.

David Davidson, managing director of Cushman & Wakefield in Scotland, said: "Both Stephen and Isla have played key roles in the continued growth of two of the busiest sectors of our business in recent years - retail services and capital markets - and I am delighted that their performance has been recognised by these promotions.

The new partners are based in the company's Edinburgh office, headed up partner and head of national retail services Stuart Moncur.

Promotions at venture capital firm

SCOTTISH Equity Partners (SEP) has announced three promotions in its investment team.

The moves see Gordon Beveridge and Tony Robison take up the role of director, with Angus Conroy elevated to senior analyst.

Mr Beveridge, based in SEP's London office, is one of the venture capital firm's most experienced investment executives, and has a particular focus on software and services businesses.

Mr Robison, who has more than 20 years' commercial and financial experience, plays a key role in SEP's energy investments, having senior positions in a number of high growth technology companies.

Mr Conroy has been with SEP for three years and his promotion reflects his increasing responsibilities in investment deals worked on by the firm.

SEP managing partner Calum Paterson said: "I am delighted to announce these promotions, which underline the strength and depth of our investment team."

Dow to head Lovell sales team

HOUSING developer Lovell has appointed Helen Dow as regional sales manager for Scotland, where she will lead the company's Lovell Homes sales team.

Ms Dow, who will be based at Lovell's Glasgow Business Park office, will be responsible for driving sales of new-build homes business across Scotland. She brings a wide range of senior level experience in the Scottish property and new homes industry to the role.

In 16 years in the sector she has worked as sales and marketing manager for Glasgow-based residential and commercial developer Charter Properties, and as a land and new homes consultant and as associate director for DTZ Residential.

Lovell regional director Alan Taylor said: "We are delighted to have secured someone of Helen's calibre to head up our Lovell Homes sales business. Her expertise and in-depth knowledge of the Scottish housing market will enable us to further enhance our reputation for building superb new homes which delight customers with their exceptional quality and value."

Buyer Murphy goes to BAM

BAM Construction has appointed Trish Murphy to its Scottish business in newly created role of senior buyer.

Ms Murphy joins with more than 30 years' experience in buying and procurement, including a senior buying role with another national contractor.

In her new role, she will work with regional buyer Helen Fitzpatrick to managing existing supply chain partnerships and forge new links with local firms and manufacturers.

Doug Keillor, regional director for BAM Construction, said: "It's no secret that we have a number of significant projects lined up for 2015. Trish's experience and industry knowledge will be a great asset to our team and help us to continue to lead the market on innovative and sustainable procurement initiatives."
