Paterson goes east
Stewart Milne Group has hired Lorraine Paterson to be its new sales director for east central Scotland.
Ms Paterson was most recently sales and marketing director for Quartermile Ventures, which included responsibility for various aspects of the Quartermile development in Edinburgh.
Before joining Gladedale in 2007, she was sales and marketing manager at John Dickie Homes and previously held marketing roles at Kenmore Homes UK and Cruden Homes (Scotland).
Diageo signs up Sheriff
SCOTCH whisky giant Diageo has appointed Vickie Sheriff to the post of global communications director.
Ms Sheriff, currently director of group communications at the Department of Transport, will be responsible for external communications and employee engagement. She joins the company on September 1.
Ms Sheriff, who will report to global corporate relations director Charlotte Lambkin, said: "After a long career enjoying communications in government, I'm looking forward to bringing my skills and experience to the commercial sector."
Flynn steps up at Young
LAW firm Young & Partners has promoted Sylvia Flynn to associate level.
The firm, which has offices in Dunfermline and Glasgow, said Ms Flynn has been with the practice since 2008 and specialises in commercial property, leasing and licensing.
Ms Flynn said she was delighted to make the next step in her career.
