Veteran becomes KPMG's new head of retail

ACCOUNTANCY firm KPMG has appointed David McCorquodale, a veteran of its Scottish operations, as head of its UK retail sector practice.

Mr McCorquodale, who has headed KPMG's retail practice in Scotland in recent times and worked on a raft of major deals in the sector, has been with the firm since 1984.

KPMG noted he was "one of the founders of the firm's corporate finance business" which advises listed and private companies on divestitures, acquisitions and fundraisings. Mr McCorquodale, who is based in Edinburgh, is succeeding Helen Dickinson as head of the UK retail practice.
