West to leave Trinity Mirror

TRINITY Mirror has confirmed the managing director of its Scottish and North West of England businesses is leaving at the end of next month.

Denise West is stepping down after 17 years with the company "to pursue new challenges". In Scotland, Allan Rennie is promoted to managing director but will continue his duties as editor-in-chief of Media Scotland with overview of titles such as the Daily Record. Russell Borthwick returns to Trinity Mirror to run the North East arm after nine years building his own marketing and media consultancy, Press Ahead.
