Employees using their own money to pay for expenses

ALMOST half of employees use their personal money to pay for business expenses, according to research, writes Greig Cameron.

A report commissioned by finance firm Capital One found 47% of staff laid out an average of £367 a month settling bills for their employers, although men (£422) typically spent more than women (£301).

Travelling in the UK was the main expense, followed by buying office equipment and supplies, then overnight accommodation.
