Sandra Glenn and her husband Henry switched to Nationwide building society when they became dissatisfied with their bank, and the couple from Coatbridge had reasons to be glad when they went on a package holiday to Ibiza recently.
Mrs Glenn became ill on the last day of the trip and was relieved that her current account included free travel insurance, while her debit card offered a low-fee usage rate.
She said: "Travel firm Thomson left us to sink or swim and I have not yet had an apology from them.
