Hanna O'Brien, a speech and language therapist, first began using the Quidco cashback website eight years ago.
Since then Mrs O'Brien, 32, from Dunfermline, has saved more than £900 on her shopping, according to her website account, thrift which has come in particularly handy since the arrival of her son Lexie, four, and daughter Fearn 18 months ago.
Special offers are all the more welcome at this time of year, she says. "I would use it more at Christmas as I am doing more shopping. I tend to do a lot of shopping online; with two small children the thought of going round the shops fills me with dread."
On whether cashback, vouchers or discounts are always available, Mrs O'Brien says they often are, but if they are not, she will go elsewhere. Quidco says: "Many customers use the site as a saving tool to earn them money for the big festive spend. They save their earned cashback through the year, doing all their shopping online to prepare for a December splurge."
