PINNACLE Telecom has been awarded contracts by IMG Media to supply voice and data networks for three golf tournaments.

The Scottish company will work on the Johnnie Walker Championship at Gleneagles in August, followed by the Women's British Open at Royal Liverpool in Hoylake, Merseyside.

Then in October, Pinnacle will be at Carnoustie, Kingsbarns and St Andrew's for the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.

Alan Bonner, Pinnacle chief executive, said: "We look forward with confidence to working with IMG for a second year at these prestigious events."

Pinnacle also said work with the BBC on Radio 1's Hackney Weekend had been successful, and it had used a fibre network that has been installed for the Olympics.
