HOTEL guests in Scotland can now order room service through apps on their smartphone or tablet.
The technology, developed by Edinburgh-based Qikserve, has gone live at the Bruntsfield Hotel in Edinburgh and Keavil House Hotel in Dunfermline. Guests scan a barcode in their room using the app and it then identifies the location before bringing up the menu to order from.
It is available for Apple and Android devices and will also come to Windows and Blackberry devices.
