CONNELLY Security Systems, one of the largest independents in the sector north of the Border, made a retained profit of £228,000 in the latest financial year.

Accounts for the family-owned business filed at Companies House show Connelly Security Systems had accumulated profits of £444,169 at the end of the year to July 31, compared with £216,182 at the start of the period.

In the accounts, the company said: "The market value of maintenance contracts as valued by the directors at July 31, 2012, on the basis of projected income less attributable costs totalled £2,878,652", up from £2,367,995 at the end of the preceding year.
