ROYAL Dutch Shell has announced plans to sell three North Sea assets.

The oil and gas giant has said it would offload stakes in the Anasuria floating production storage and offloading vessel and the Nelson production platform, 115 and 124 miles off Aberdeen respectively. It is also selling its interest in the Sean platform, 68 miles off Lowestoft.

Glen Cayley, head of Shell's exploration and production arm in the UK and Ireland said: "The UK is an important business region for Shell."
