NORTH Sea-focused Enquest has increased first half revenues by 11% to $504m (£300m) helped by strong growth in production from fields off Scotland.

The oil and gas firm produced an average 25,292 barrels oil equivalent daily in the six months to June, up 18% from 21,455 in the same period last year.

Chief executive Amjad Bseisu said Enquest is set to achieve substantial growth in the North Sea, where it is investing heavily in new developments like the giant Kraken heavy oil field off Shetland.
