THE white-collar recruitment firm Harvey Nash has said it expects gross profit to nudge up one per cent to £43.6 million in the six months to the end of July.

The company said that was in line with expectations and came despite the impact of a strong pound. Activity was said to be robust in the UK, Ireland and the United States, which offset subdued demand for permanent recruitment in Europe and in Germany in particular.

Revenue is likely to be up eight per cent to £356m.
