GROWING employer confidence in the construction sector has sparked a 20 per cent increase in demand for both permanent and temporary recruits in the first half of 2014 compared with last year, according to talent specialist Hudson.
However, it warned that a reduced graduate intake during the economic downturn has depleted the talent pool. Associate director Iain Atkinson said there were skills shortages now in the market.
