A SUPPLIER of fencing and agricultural products has gone into administration after more than 170 years of trading, leading to the loss of 162 jobs across Britain.

MGL Distribution, which trades as McArthur, operated offices and depots around the UK. It appointed administrators from FRP Advisory after failing to find a buyer. There will be nine jobs lost at its Elgin depot and a further 19 from the Coatbridge site. There are 21 people staying on to help the administrators.
