TWO thirds of chief financial officers in the UK are less optimistic about the country’s economy now compared with the end of last year, according to a new report.

In the latest Global Business Outlook Survey, 70 per cent of financial executives cited economic uncertainty as their major concern, followed by currency risk (47 per cent) and political uncertainty (35 per cent) – indicating that the prospect of a Brexit may be damaging confidence in the UK economy.

The survey is conducted by the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University in North Carolina, Grenoble Ecole de Management in France, New York-based CFO Magazine and Tilburg University in the Netherlands.
