A MAJOR milestone has been passed at the Culzean development in the North Sea, with installation of all three of the project’s jackets, the steel frames that support the deck and topside, now complete, on time and on budget.

The field, operated by Maersk Oil, lies about 145 miles east of Aberdeen and is estimated to produce between 60,000-90,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boepd) when at maximum operation.

Maersk Oil chief Gretchen Watkins said it was on schedule for first gas in 2019.
