Natural Power recruits new boss

RENEWABLE energy consultancy, Natural Power, has appointed Stephen Trotter as its new managing director, based at its headquarters at The Greenhouse near Castle Douglas. 
His appointment follows the departure of Ted Leeming, who stepped down at the end of March. 
Mr Trotter worked for ABB for almost 20 years, where he was managing director for the UK and Ireland power systems division. He joins the business as it embarks on a new business cycle, which will see it focus on international growth. 
The firm offers operational asset management and turbine servicing as well as traditional planning advice and construction management. It is also targeting services for operational offshore wind farms in Europe and potentially the US. 
On his appointment, Mr Trotter said: “The passion and commitment of the team to deliver for our customers evident."

More names join Gilson Gray

LAW firm Gilson Gray has further expanded with the hiring of Shirley Li-Ting and Laura Burns from Maclay Murray & Spens and Harper McLeod respectively.
The firm launched in 2014, saying it was the largest full service law firm launch in Scottish legal history.
Gilson Gray opened simultaneously in Glasgow and Edinburgh, and the new recruits will divide their time between the cities.
With more than 16 years professional experience, Ms Li-Ting joins as a senior associate within the business restructuring and recovery and corporate teams.
Ms Burns will take over as head of private client as an associate. She will make the move from Harper McLeod to work directly with managing partner Glen Gilson. Her appointment takes the full service firm’s headcount to 103. 
Mr Gilson said: “Our ethos is to give every client the opportunity to work with the best legal talent in Scotland, and with Shirley and Laura we are continuing that.”

Inverness firm nets new partner

Accountancy firm Saffery Champness has announced that Eunice McAdam has joined the firm as a partner, based atits Inverness office. 
She arrives after 26 years at EY, 16 of which she spent as an executive director. 
Ms McAdam provides assurance and advisory services to private companies, entrepreneurs and not-for-profit entities across Scotland and the wider UK, including those with overseas subsidiaries or ownership.
She joins an expanding Inverness team, which includes Donald Forsyth, who recently joined as a partner from EY. She will also be working alongside fellow partners Susie Swift, Shirley Mathieson and Coll Murchison-MacDonald in Inverness.
