ALDI has followed the major supermarkets by launching a Scottish small supplier development programme to fledging food and drink companies the chance to win listings in the chain.

The programme was announced at the opening of Aldi’s new Bathgate headquarters. Aldi, which has 78 stores across Scotland, will work with government agency Scotland Food & Drink to ensure as many companies as possible are aware of the programme and able to access support. The initiative fits with Aldi’s plans to increase its Scottish range from 350 to 400 products in the next two years.
