Auchencraig House, the Dunoon hotel, has been put up for sale by its current owners with an asking price of offers over £295,000 for the freehold.
The Victorian villa is located in the Kirn area of Dunoon and contains 17 bedrooms, three large public rooms, two lounge rooms and one large grand room with views to the River Clyde estuary and hillside.
Christie & Co said it has “huge potential” to be a boutique hotel or guest house but with an adaptable interior it would also lend itself to a youth hostel, nursing home, gymnasium or a conversion into apartments.
The property is said to retain many of its original features and stands at 410.6 square meters, on a corner plot of 0.75 acres of land, which offers the possibility of further extending the property, subject to necessary consent.
