UP-and-coming business creators will be urged to adopt a global mindset when they gather in Gleneagles for the Entrepreneurial Scotland annual conference later this month.
And one of its keynote speakers knows about that more than most.
Gareth Williams co-founded Skyscanner, the online flight price comparison site which was acquired by Chinese company Ctrip for £1.4 billion in late 2016.
Mr Williams, who was named Entrepreneurial Scotland’s entrepreneur of the year in 2017, got together with Entrepreneurial Scotland chef executive Sandy Kennedy and Bob Hair of sponsor Cazenove Capital in Gleneagles yesterday as preparations for the event move into their final stages.
As well as Mr Williams, the conference will hear from Lord Bilimoria, founder of Cobra Beer and Angus Macdonald, chairman of long-distance learning organisation ICS Learn, winner of the 2017 scale up award. The line-up also includes Dr Vivienne Ming, a theoretical neuroscientist who co-founded Socos Labs, an independent think tank exploring the future of human potential.
The conference takes place on Thursday April 26.
