Incremental Group has unveiled an ambitious target to grow staff numbers from 70 to 500 within four years after moving to The Garment Factory in Glasgow’s Merchant City.

The company, which helps businesses develop their digital systems, has also pledged to increase revenue from £7m to £60m as it targets the professional services and large corporate markets in 2018

Incremental works alongside commercial and public sector organisations to help them with all aspects of digital technology, from developing a cloud-based storage solution to building mobile apps.

The company said its revenue had grown 60% to £7m last year as its workforce doubled to 70 at its offices in Glasgow, Inverurie and Manchester, which opened earlier this year.

As part of its expansion plan the company has left its headquarters at Glasgow City Council-operated The Tontine to the recently refurbished Castleforage Partners-owned Garment Factory, where the business has capacity for more than 100 staff.

Chief executive Neil Logan, said: “Technology enables every organisation to achieve more and we’re now supporting the delivery of digital solutions to a diverse customer base across the commercial and public sectors. Glasgow is the perfect place for us to be based and The Garment Factory gives us a really high tech, collaborative working environment and room to grow.”

Incremental was founded in 2016 with financial backing from Maven Capital and the Scottish Investment Bank and acquired Inverurie-based IT consultancy group First eBusiness Solutions in December 2016. In 2017, Incremental received £500,000 of Regional Selective Assistance (RSA) support from Scottish Enterprise to help its expansion.

The new Glasgow office was officially opened yesterday by Paul Wheelhouse, the minister for business, innovation and energy.

Mr Wheelhouse, said: “Innovative, inclusive and ambitious companies are the future of business in Scotland and Incremental is a great example of this."
