BRIGHTWATER, the Musselburgh-based water services firm, has cited major customer wins as it secured nearly £2 million of new contracts in the last 12 months.

The company, founded by entrepreneur Roger Green and digital marketing expert Rich Rankin in 2016, said its customer portfolio is now worth more than £3m in terms of contracted revenues.

Recent contract wins include Glasgow-based Keane Premier Healthcare, which runs three care homes in the city.

Brightwater, which turned over £1.43m in its most recent accounting period, will provide water services to two of those sites, in Cambuslang and Rutherglen, initially.

The company has also recently won work with Q-park, the Scottish SPCA, (Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals), Kangaroo Self-Storage and Dublin-based Ogalas, servicing its Home Store + More retail outlets in Scotland.

Chief executive Mr Green, who founded UK-wide commercial cleaning business Spotless while studying at the University of Edinburgh in 1988, said: ““It’s been another positive year for the business. We’ve substantially built our contract portfolio which is now valued at £3.1m per year with 2,348 commercial premises being managed across Scotland.

“While the retail water market continues to be dominated by large corporates, things are changing as customers wake up to the benefits of partnering with a responsive and proactive supplier.”
