The country's very best emerging talents are currently preparing to showcase their work in a stunning summer display of creativity.

Hundreds of students will welcome the public to their end-of-year degree shows, which cover a wide range of disciplines – from animation to fine art and photography to architecture

Always attractive to collectors, these annual events offer graduating students the opportunity to display and sell their work in a friendly, informal environment.

And it’s also a chance for viewers to enjoy – and snap up – the work of Scotland’s stars of the future.

Glasgow Clyde College

THE Glasgow Clyde College Festival of Creativity, a month-long celebration of the College’s Media and Performing Arts and Fashion, Textiles and Design students' work, starting off with the Acting and Performance students' production of Mephisto on May 16.

Students from the College’s Faculty of Business, Creative and Digital Industries will showcase their work in venues across Glasgow as part of the festival.

As well as the three College Campuses, events take place in the Mitchell Theatre, Webster's Theatre, Barras Art and Design Centre (BAAD), The Lighthouse and SWG3. The programme covers many creative disciplines, from fashion shows to exhibitions and concerts.

Edinburgh College of Art

THE Edinburgh College of Art Degree Show 2017 will transform studios and spaces across the city into galleries.

From June 3 to 11, more than 500 graduating students will exhibit work from 32 degree programmes, celebrating the diversity of the College’s subject areas.

The sites chosen are ECA Main Building in Lauriston Place (Art & Design), Evolution House, West Port (Design & Art, Space and Nature), Minto House in Chambers Street (Architecture), and Adam House, Chambers Street (Architecture & Landscape Architecture).

Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design

THE University of Dundee will once more be transformed into Scotland’s largest exhibition space next week when the annual Art, Design & Architecture Degree Show begins its 2017 run.

The traditional Preview Evening takes place on Friday, May 19, before the exhibition officially opens to the public the next day.

The Degree Show takes place throughout the two buildings and 14 floors that comprise Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design, with every spare space hosting exhibits from some of the UK’s brightest emerging creative talents.

Heriot-Watt University

THIS year there is a new venue for the final year show of The School of Textiles and Design, Heriot-Watt University.

It is bringing the Fashion Show and Degree Show together into one event for Showcase 2017, which will take place in the workshops and studios of the Scottish Borders Campus, Galashiels – the heart of the Borders luxury textiles industry.

Moray School of Art

Moray School of Art (Elgin) is one of the five major art schools in Scotland and is proud to offer a distinctive student experience in a rural art school.

The annual degree show is the highlight of the academic year and Moray School of Art is opening its doors to the public from June 19 to 24 to showcase the creative talent of final year degree students. Opening times: June 19 to 24, Monday to Thursday from 10am to 8pm, Friday and Saturday from 10am to 5pm.
