C&D AUCTION Marts Ltd sold 2,386 prime lambs in Longtown on Thursday to a top of £129 per head and 282p per kg to average 218.5p (-3.5p on the week).
The firm also had 3853 cast sheep forward when heavy ewes sold to £154 for Texels and averaged £84.51 (-£1.36), while light ewes peaked at £81 for Blackfaces and levelled at £57.56 (+£9.45). Rams sold to £150 for a Texel and averaged £86.21.
