FOUR dairy farmers have been elected to serve on the Muller Milk Group (MMG), concluding the move to a fully elected farmer representation structure.

The new appointments complete a board of seven who work with a 20-strong Muller Milk Group Forum to represent 1,700 milk producers.

Six candidates put themselves forward for election to the board, completing a presentation and answering questions from the Forum as part of the election process.

Ray Gibbins, David Herdman, Richard Pearman and Philip Rowney were duly elected to serve from 1 April 2018.

The positions of Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the Board, and Finance Officer will be elected at the MMG Board meeting in April.

As a result of the election, Dave Halhead and Ian Speed will step down from the Board.
