Kerr on the move to top property firm
REAL estate group Cushman & Wakefield has appointed Diane Kerr as head of asset services in Scotland.
Ms Kerr joins from GVA where she was regional head for its property management consultancy team. She has more than 20 years’ property and asset management experience and in her new role will focus on the growth and development of the Scottish asset services team.
This team is responsible for a range of high-profile buildings including The Gyle shopping centre, Glasgow Quay and 123 St Vincent Street.
Ms Kerr said: “One of the big attractions of joining Cushman & Wakefield is that it is a truly global company with market leading technology which enables us to offer the best value and most efficient service.”

North east commitment shown by PwC
PWC has reinforced its commitment to the north east with the promotion of Alan Barr to head of deals for Aberdeen.
Mr Barr will be based at the accountancy giant’s Aberdeen Oil & Gas Centre of Excellence, saying that the move rewarded his commitment and contribution towards the development of the practice.
Mr Barr is a key member of the firm’s deals practice, having spent nearly 20 years in mergers and acquisitions, and the last ten years leading the transaction services team in Aberdeen.
In this role he has worked throughout the oil and gas sector with over 90 deals so far including recent flagship transactions for Shell and Wood Group. He has particular expertise in private equity, working with a range of investors in the industry.
His appointment will be accompanied by further investment into the PwC Deals team reflecting what the firm called its long-term commitment to the oil and gas industry and the North East.
Females forward at law firm
LAW firm Harper Macleod has announced three new associates in its private client team.
Lindsay MacEwen has joined from Brodies, having previously practised at Maclay Murray & Spens. She advises on a wide range of matters including succession planning for family businesses and other private client aspects of corporate work.
Ms MacEwan will be joined as an associate in the team by Samantha Taylor and Kathleen Martin, who have both by promoted from assistants within the firm.
Ms Taylor, based in Inverness, has worked closely with partner Tom Monteith in expanding the firm’s private client offering in the north of Scotland. Ms Martin is based in the Glasgow office.
