Taking some of the subjects of their songs rather literally, the Cherryholmes offspring appear to have found the ideal antidote to being cheated and heartbroken and meeting liars, thieves and general sinners: they practise.
Each of their bluegrass tales comes complete with a solo on fiddle, banjo, mandolin or guitar - combinations thereof or maybe all four - so ripsnortin' that if you stood close enough with a rollie-up between your lips, you'd be able to light it from the sparks.
With mum adding guitar, mandolin, banjo and god-fearin' songs, dad anchoring the whole shebang on baby bass, and diversions into gipsy jazz, this is a family act with talent in their genes.
A fantastic version of fiddle standard Orange Blossom Special was a highlight, kicked off by stunning Indian violin as well as six-part harmonies and choreographed step-dancing.
