MY dear friend Magnus Links-Sausage, erstwhile editor of the North British Times, has been made a CBE (Chipolata of the British Empire). He told the Hootsmon, of which he was formerly Top Sausage, that he was delighted to be honoured, even though it was not the knighthood or peerage he so richly deserves.
