Charged emotions spill over

It was always going to be a day charged with high emotion.

Rangers were playing their first match at their Ibrox home since the club went into administration. The eyes of the world were on Glasgow. The club's fans turned out in numbers to fill the stadium in what was clearly, and understandably, intended to be a show of support and defiance. Banners attested to the determination of the club's supporters to survive and prosper despite the odds. All of that was commendable.
