I CONCUR most heartily with James Kelly (Letters, December 16) when he complains about the way the travelling public are treated.

Since Mr Kelly lives in the Larbert area, I suggest he samples a return FirstBus journey from Falkirk to Glasgow in winter.

These buses are freezing. Following a complaint on the FirstBus website, I received a polite reply telling me that I must be mistaken, the heating is "'always" on.

I have had to abandon some pleasurable social events in Glasgow, because the bus journey home is a frozen nightmare - 50 minutes sitting in the Polar Express.

And the driver's cabin is like a sauna.
