Donald Trump's ferocious opposition to the prospect of an offshore windfarm off the coast from his planned golf resort north of Aberdeen is well known. However, the American tycoon's verbal broadside aimed at Mr Salmond goes further, attacking the SNP's green energy policy in the most gratuitously outspoken terms. He predicts that the SNP leader will destroy Scotland's economy and its tourist industry by encouraging "the reckless installation of these monsters". And he pledges a "substantial amount of money" to fight Scottish offshore wind developments.
