IF the bus service was improved in certain areas more folk might use them ("One-third fall in bus stops near homes", The Herald, December 3).
A case in point is the service here in Inverkip. It's great if you are going to Greenock but if going further in the other direction the service is one an hour and the same coming back. There is at least one bus every quarter of an hour passing Inverkip on the A78 but they won't or can't stop because there are no laybys for them to pull into. The community council here has raised the issue several times with no success.
9 Kip Avenue, Inverkip.
