I was deeply disappointed by your article on salmon farming (News, October 28).
The outbreak of seasonal flu and a minor, resolved issue with the FDA happened 13 months apart. They are linked only by the views of one anti-fish-farming campaigner described by a judge in the Supreme Court of British Columbia as "akin to a zealot. Virtually anything that conflicts with his view and vision is wrong - Neutral facts will lead him to jump to irrational conclusions."

Why are you making commenting on The Herald only available to subscribers?
It should have been a safe space for informed debate, somewhere for readers to discuss issues around the biggest stories of the day, but all too often the below the line comments on most websites have become bogged down by off-topic discussions and abuse.
