Businesses need better air links

I WAS very disappointed at the decision by Ryanair which is harmful to both Scotland and Estonia ("Anger as Ryanair chief claims 300 jobs at risk", The Herald, February 22).

This was the only direct air link between the two countries and many people were looking forward to it restarting in April.

Scotland needs far more direct air links than are currently on offer and the lack of these air routes is what each side of the debate on the referendum needs to address. Without direct air links, businesses are severely hampered in developing international trade, which Scotland and Estonia both wish to achieve.
